The complexity of crises and the variety of contexts mean that humanitarian actors have to continually learn and adapt without losing sight of their original commitment. Different humanitarian cultures and approaches have emerged as the sector has become more diversified, with an increasing number of new stakeholders. And as the sector has grown, it has become increasingly attractive to those who would seek to instrumentalise it.

Since 1993, Groupe URD has been committed to helping humanitarian actors face these challenges. ‘Humanitarian aid on the move’ is our latest initiative in this direction.

Produced in French, English and Spanish, this cross-sector newsletter is aimed at humanitarian practitioners and decision-makers, whether they are in the field or in head offices. Its role will be to promote dialogue and innovation, critical and forward thinking, while remaining faithful to the founding principles of humanitarian action.
