Evaluation of the WFP’s “Protracted Relief and Recovery Operation” in Chad
December 2013 - April 2014
Groupe URD and IRAM are conducting the evaluation of the Protracted Relief and Recovery Operation which is being run by the World Food Programme (WFP) in Chad for a period of three years (2012-2015).
The evaluation aim to look at the quality and results of the programme which covers all the areas of the country in crisis and to reinforce the food security, livelihoods and resilience of the Central African refugees in the south and Sudanese refugees and Chadian IDPs in the east, as well as attempting to counter climatic disturbance in the Sahelian strip. The programme also aims to reinforce Chadian state institutions in order to improve the early warning system and the response to crises. The evaluation is also an opportunity for strategic reflection about future WFP projects in the country.
