Organisational diagnosis of three Afghan NGOs: NPO / RRAA / GRSP

Groupe URD carried out organisational diagnoses of three Afghan NGOs in order to develop new project management tools and make recommendations for improvements to their internal functioning.

Groupe URD carried out organisational diagnoses of three Afghan partners of Church World Service (CWS) and Norwegian Church Aid (NCA).
This work aimed to identify the strengths and weaknesses of each partner and to prepare institutional capacity building plans.

Two Groupe URD researchers analysed Norwegian Project Office (NPO), Rural Rehabilitation Association for Afghanistan (RRAA) and Ghazni Rural support Program (GRSP). Two teams were formed, each including members of staff from the NGOs. Interviews were conducted in headquarters in Kabul and provincial offices in Baghlan and Mazar were visited.

The Capacity Building Plan included training for staff, coaching, recommendations for improvements to the internal functioning of the NGOs and the introduction of new technical and management tools.
