Aide et Action

Many international NGOs have developed veritable lobbying strategies and, as happens in other sectors of activity, dedicate significant resources to try to influence decision-makers.

Aide et Action lobbies governments, local governments and multilateral and bilateral institutions to ask them to include educational issues in their development strategies, take into account the demands of local actors and respect their engagements. But the techniques used are varied and evolving.

Having clarified the different terms employed, this study describes the techniques used depending on the level and type of public body and depending on the objective, while taking into account the variety of NGOs in terms of size and means.

Questions about these techniques and how they are evolving are also analysed to provide insight into these issues for Aide et Action.
