The challenges of food security in long-term conflict and fragile state contexts

Groupe URD will be taking part in the international conference organised in Rome on 13 and 14 September by the FAO on this topic which we have been exploring in detail for years, and will moderate the third session of the meeting on: Resilience of individuals, households, communities and local institutions in protracted crises.
In 2000, we co-organised a conference with Médecins du Monde entitled, “Protracted and Forgotten Crises: humanitarian challenges, issues at stake for Europe” and we have published numerous articles on this subject. More than a decade later, this conference in Rome will be an opportunity to take stock of the progress which has been made.
