We are all Charlie!
In this dangerous and troubled world, humour is an essential remedy for sorrow and despair. Charlie Hebdo embraced the idea that ‘no topic is so serious that we cannot laugh about it’. People from all cultures and all religions are brought together by laughter, from the lands of Islam to Buddhism, under the Soviet dictatorship and in the ghettos. This laughter will not die. Voltaire talked about “dying of laughter”, Cabu, Wolinski and other victims lost their lives making us laugh. At the start of 2015, we are all Charlie.
