- Evaluation of the WFP’s "Oil-For-Girls-Education" programme in the provinces of Dai Kundi, Paktya and Parwan (August-November 2007)
As part of the Kaifiat project, Groupe URD carried out an evaluation of a WFP programme called “Assistance to Girls’ Primary Education” in provinces where food insecurity prevails. In the Kabul zone (regions in the center and south-east of the country), vegetable oil is distributed to girls who go to school more than 22 days per month in order to encourage families to send them regularly.

- Evaluation of Cooperation Center for Afghanistan’s monitoring and evaluation system (August 2007)
In 2007, Groupe URD was chosen to carry out an evaluation of CCA’s monitoring and evaluation system. The project concluded with a training course for part of the NGO’s personnel.

- Diagnosis of the horticultural sector in the provinces of Kunar and Laghman for MADERA (June - July 2007)
In order to refine its analysis of the horticultural sector, MADERA asked Groupe URD to conduct a study of the needs and expectations of horticulturists interested in the creation of farmers’ associations (8 districts in 2 provinces).

- Evaluation of ECHO – ICRC Partnership (2006)
Between January and September 2006, a multi-disciplinary Groupe URD team of three evaluators carried out field visits to Rwanda, Afghanistan, Israel/Palestine and Sri Lanka to evaluate the partnership between ECHO and the ICRC using the Quality COMPAS©.

- Real-time review of selected food aid programmes in Afghanistan and implications for emergency food security assessments
Between 2005 and 2006, Groupe URD conducted a series of field visits for the World Food Programme (WFP) in Afghanistan, Colombia and Laos. The aim of this project, commissioned by ODAN (Emergency Needs Assessment Branch), was to analyse WFP’s needs assessment methods in these countries, and how decisions were made as a result. The project included both field work and discussions with the WFP and its partners, and led to a global analysis of the WFP’s method of carrying out inititial diagnoses, operations, monitoring and evaluations.

- Evaluation of a water and sanitation project in the north of Afghanistan for CORDAID (the Dutch branch of Caritas).
The Afghan NGO, NPO-RRAA, a partner of CORDAID, ran a water and sanitation project in 2005-2006. The Franco-Afghan evaluation team spent a week in Balkh province, near Mazar-e-sharif, visiting wells and latrines built during the project and focusing particularly on the impact that the project had had on women. The evaluation report is not available to the public.

- Evaluation of Oxfam's programme in Lal district (Ghor province)
In November 2005 a research team evaluated a programme by Oxfam which focused on the role of women in the household economy, means of subsistence and food security in five villages in Ghor province.

- Evaluation of the FAO’s emergency programmes (2005)
Afghanistan is very fragile, but while it continues to try to make progress towards an end to the crisis, profound changes need to be made to emergency approaches.Two Groupe URD specialists carried out an evaluation of the FAO’s emergency input distribution programmes. The project looked at initial situation diagnosis both at a national level and by agro-ecological zone, programme design, mechanisms for targeting beneficiaries, operational methods (via NGOs or via Afghan authorities) and the expected results of programmes.

- Evaluation of the EC-funded DACAAR consortium "programme for returnees reintegration and community support in Afghanistan"
This evaluation took place between November and December 2004. It analysed the work carried out by the DACAAR consortium in Afghanistan. The evaluation report is not available to the public.
