Groupe URD carries out field missions throughout the world from its base in the Drôme provençale region. It also has offices in Paris and Afghanistan.

Groupe URD’s headquarters are situated in Plaisians in the Drôme provençale region of France.
The decision to set up the organisation in a sensitive rural location is not insignificant. It is a way of practicing at home on a daily basis what one preaches in other countries. We have made choices to reduce our environmental footprint, both in terms of technology (solar energy, green insulation materials, rainwater harvesting) and in terms of behaviour (recycling of waste, regular planting of trees, car sharing).

The Afghanistan office is located in Kabul.
The Kabul office was opened in January 2005. It is involved in operational research, evaluation and training and tries to bring support to humanitarian actors in the unstable transitionary stage on the road to development.

The Paris office
The office in the French capital gives the organisation a base in proximity to national and international institutions.
