Groupe URD carries out field missions throughout the world from its base in the Drôme provençale region. It also has offices in Paris and Afghanistan.

Groupe URD’s headquarters are situated in Plaisians in the Drôme provençale region of France.
The decision to set up the organisation in a sensitive rural location is not insignificant. It is a way of practicing at home on a daily basis what one preaches in other countries. We have made choices to reduce our environmental footprint, both in terms of technology (solar energy, green insulation materials, rainwater harvesting) and in terms of behaviour (recycling of waste, regular planting of trees, car sharing).

The Paris office
The office in the French capital gives the organisation a base in proximity to national and international institutions.

The Chad office works from both N'Djamena and Abéché.
The Chad field office opened in early 2009. Groupe URD is currently conducting operational research, evaluations and training, and is providing support to humanitarian actors in the unstable transition from emergency to development. The overall objective is to help improve the quality of humanitarian action in the country.
