QUESTIONING HUMANITARIAN PRACTICES
Groupe URD positions itself at the crossroads between ideas and action. Since 1997 we have been providing training sessions in three languages (French, English, Spanish), to which we bring our extensive field experience. 150 days in the year are presently taken up with training, in France and abroad, with courses aimed at students, humanitarian agency professionals and international NGOs.
Our experienced team of trainers use a pedagogical method which focuses both on theory and practice and which is illustrated by a large number of case studies. This method allows participants to understand the complexity of situations and to appropriate the tools presented in order to adapt their working methods to field realities.
Training sessions are held on request outside Groupe URD premises, but sessions are also held on topics that are particularly important to us at our headquarters in Plaisians, in the south of France. All training sessions, whether they be on specific sectors or on cross-sector issues, are conducted in accordance with our innovative approach based on the permanent questioning of humanitarian sector practices.
