Training course on the Quality and Accountability COMPASS, 29-31 October 2018, Paris

After an introduction on the main issues involved in quality and accountability management in the international aid sector, the trainers will explain how to use the Quality and Accountability COMPASS to implement the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS). An analysis framework for each organisation/project with regard to the commitments of the CHS will then be produced in order to think about how to improve existing practices at the operational and/or institutional level, adapted to the needs of each participant.

This training course will provide you with the methodological knowledge to tackle quality and accountability issues, methods and tools on two levels:

  • To implement and monitor projects;
  • To establish or reinforce an institutional framework to monitor and support projects.

It is aimed at aid professionals who are involved in implementing, funding, monitoring or evaluating aid projects, such as Heads of Project, staff in charge of monitoring funding and partnerships, staff in charge of planning, monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (PMEAL), evaluators, etc.
