And the key messages.

Groupe URD, Care Nederland and Wageningen University have held a feedback and discussion workshop about resilience, with a special focus on the Sahel region.
The resilience concept is central to a significant shift in relations between emergency relief and development approaches. It is essentially about conceiving new forms of interaction between emergency relief, Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Adaptation, and vulnerability and Poverty Reduction.

Representatives from the Senegalese and Mauritanian governments, AGIR Sahel initiative, IASC, OCHA, FAO, United Nations in Mauritania, OXFAM GB and Groupe URD facilitated discussion panels with 60 participants from relief and development organisations working in the Sahel region.
