Key messages from the three year iterative evaluation of projects funded by Swiss Solidarity in Haiti
Following the massive humanitarian response that was triggered immediately after the earthquake of January 2010, a few donors decided to draw lessons quickly from the programmes they had supported.
The Swiss organisation, Swiss Solidarity, which funded the programmes of several Swiss NGOs working in Haiti asked Groupe URD to carry out an iterative evaluation of the reconstruction programmes implemented.
We wrote about this evaluation in the last Observatory Newsletter. In this issue, we are publishing the key messages from the evaluation and the debates during the conference at the end of the project, from 30 September to 2 October 2013.
Furthermore, 4 years after the earthquake, Groupe URD and Swiss Solidarity are transmitting the main lessons from this crisis, via different media, such as the radio programme “Cultures-Monde” on the public service radio station, France Culture, films and events in Switzerland.
See the French press release, the radio programme “Cultures-Monde” on the public service radio station, France Culture " Haïti, une aide humanitaire sous le feu des critiques " and the programme in RTS Info "La Chaîne du Bonheur ausculte son action en Haïti pour optimiser son travail".

Eight videos about the programmes involved were made, such as one video of highlights from this event.
