Maternal nutrition in emergency situations

In connection with the INSPIRE consortium, Groupe URD was involved in running a round table in Brussels on 12 November 2013 on “Maternal nutrition in emergency situations”, in partnership with ECHO and with the Emergency Nutrition Network. The round table brought together international specialists and Nutrition and Food Security focal points from major NGOs and UN agencies. After debating specific topics such as micronutrient supplementation, acute malnutrition, and nutritionally-sensitive operations in emergency contexts, etc., the experts focused on drawing up recommendations with a very operational perspective. The minutes of the workshop, an overview of the topic and a bibliography can be consulted here.
