Take part in the final consultation phase of the Core Humanitarian Standard

Version 3 of the Core Humanitarian Standard is now available. It has been simplified following the latest feedback and a new criterion of effectiveness has been added. Groupe URD took part in this process as a member of the Technical Advisory Group.

A final consultation phase is now taking place until 17 October 2014 in order to collect as many comments as possible and pursue the participatory development of the tool. We would encourage all humanitarian organisations to express themselves during this final consultation phase before the official launch of the Core Humanitarian Standard which is due to take place on 12 December 2014 in Copenhagen.

The Standard brings together the main elements of the Sphere and HAP 2010 standards, the Red Cross and Red Crescent Code of Conduct, the People in Aid Code of Good Practice and criteria from the OECD’s DAC and from the Quality Compas developed by Groupe URD. It has been developed due to the need to improve the coherence between the numerous different standards that exist.
