Facilitation of a workshop in the Central African Republic

Groupe URD has a new mission in the Central African Republic. From 29 June to 1 July, we will be facilitating a planning and learning workshop in connection with the “Bêkou Fund”, from 29 June to 1 July. This fund is the first of the new funding instruments for the transition from relief to development established by the European Commission and certain Member States.

This workshop is being held at a strategic moment: the new government has now taken office and the issue of post-crisis funding was discussed at length at the World Humanitarian Summit. The Central African Republic is determined to no longer be an aid “orphan”, receiving only humanitarian aid.

This new mission follows on from Groupe URD’s previous work on LRRD, one of our main areas of investigation.
