Groupe URD has been providing methodological support to the Steering Committee for Humanitarian Response (SCHR) for a peer review in Uganda (Arua region) and in Northern Iraq (Kurdish Iraq). Following the conclusions of several international conferences and the commitments of the Grand Bargain, the SCHR is aiming to put the so-called “participation revolution” into practice within the next 5 years.
This peer review has been based on a general overview of practices in order to improve understanding of current approaches and the factors that increase genuine participation on the part of crisis-affected people. We have been travelling to Uganda in September and providing remote methodological support for Iraq.
