Report “Strategy on Prevention, Resilience & sustainable Peace” (2018-2022), 2018

The overall objective of the strategy is to establish sustainable peace in fragile states based on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in which Goal 16 aims to: “promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels”. To this end, a central role is given to prevention and the reinforcement of resilience before, during and after crises and conflicts, and to tackling the roots of crises by making the most of the comparative advantages and the complementary nature of the different mandates within French institutions (diplomacy, security, development, stabilization and humanitarian action).
