This first edition will focus on a key question:
“Mental Health: Toward the End of Political Innocence?”
Diverse forms of knowledge, power dynamics, the interplay of worlds, and support for speakers.
At the intersection of the professional, academic, activist, and experiential worlds, this event aims to create a space for dialogue and reflection on contemporary mental health issues. It will provide an opportunity to highlight knowledge, care practices, and forms of solidarity and mutual aid that are still too often marginalized, while examining the power dynamics that permeate the mental health sector.
The closing panel discussion will feature Daniel Derivois, a professor of psychology, and Pablo Servigne, an author and speaker. Drawing on their respective areas of expertise, they will discuss contemporary issues related to mental health, epistemic injustice, globality, otherness, situated knowledge, mutual aid, and alternative care practices.
