This training session is aimed at the humanitarian correspondents of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development who work in the field for embassies. It will include role play and case studies, as well as presentations on France’s humanitarian strategy, the main evaluation criteria for humanitarian projects (OECD-DAC), and principles for humanitarian engagement in Fragile States.
The training session will also cover essential issues for the proper running of humanitarian programmes, such as funding, and understanding governments’ responsibilities vis-à-vis their citizens, humanitarian organisations, host populations, etc.
