For the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) on Sunday 13 October, the RepR network is working to raise awareness about the importance of DRR in humanitarian programmes. Groupe URD, Humanité & Inclusion, Solidarités international, the French Red Cross and Care France have designed a poster to help NGOs better integrate the DRR approach into their activities (shelter, health, education, WaSH, food security).

This is in line with this year’s theme proposed by UNDRR (United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction) “Reducing damage to infrastructure and services caused by natural disasters “.

The RepR network main objectives are to: Develop and share best practices; Establish common positions and develop advocacy messages to be promoted at strategic national and international meetings; Strengthen networking to facilitate the exchange of technical expertise. Since April 2018, Groupe URD has been in charge of running the network.
