For example, this support can be aimed at developing/revising a project quality management policy, developing tools for project quality, structuring a monitoring and evaluation system, developing methods and tools related to accountability, learning, etc. We recommend that the subject of the support should to be clearly identified and that the number of issues being addressed should be limited so that the objectives are achievable.

We can provide one of our experts for up to 10 days, if the following three criteria are met:

  • Mutual cooperation – the organisation identifies someone to act as its focal point during the duration of the support phase, who works with the Groupe URD expert for an equivalent number of days;
  • Formal cooperation – a partnership agreement is signed specifying what is expected of both parties;
  • Public cooperation – the results or the lessons of this cooperation are shared with the rest of the sector to encourage collective learning.
  • The support takes place between 1 February and 30 June 2024.

Selection criteria: The request for support should be made by an organisation from the aid sector. Organisations from the ‘Global South’ are particularly encouraged to apply.

Application: this should include a 1-2 page document explaining the aspects on which you would like to receive support from Groupe URD, and specifying:

  • The objectives – What is the aim of the cooperation?
  • The deliverables – What outputs are expected during the support project?
  • Collaborators – Who will be involved in the project, and in what way? For how many days?
  • Implementation – How and when could the support project be implemented?
  • Send your application to cpierluigi@urd.org. The subject of your email should be ‘APIC Support’, followed by the name of your organisation in brackets.

Provisional calendar:

  • Applications must have been received by 31 December 2023.
  • January 2024: review of applications, selection of the successful candidate organisation, definition of support to be provided and signature of partnership agreement. Groupe URD may contact organisations again during the selection process if more information is needed about a candidate’s application.
  • February 2024: planned launch of support
  • June 2024: finalisation of the support project and production of the lessons learned document
