Every year, the Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security brings together numerous African Heads of State and Government, international partners, and actors involved in Peace and Security issues. Launched at the 2013 Elysée Summit in France, the first Dakar Forum took place in December 2014 under the high patronage of Macky SALL, President of the Republic of Senegal. Today, it is an essential event for all those concerned by Security and Peace on the African continent.

This year, in connection with our research on the security-development nexus, we were present at the Dakar Forum, “Peace and Security in Africa: stakes of sustainable security and development”, 5-6 November 2018. This was an opportunity to meet a wide variety of actors involved in issues related to peace, security and development.
