A bit of history…
2004 — The beginning : After 5 years of field research, Groupe URD creates the Quality COMPAS and its compass rose: 12 criteria to steer project quality.
2014 — Coming together : Groupe URD has joined forces with HAP, People In Aid, and Sphère and is using the COMPAS framework to develop the CHS standard—an industry-wide standard.
2018 — The overhaul : COMPAS is rebuilt entirely around the 9 CHS commitments. The standard becomes operational.
2025 — Updating and the move to digital : The CHS is revised. COMPAS follows suit: it moves away from the PDF format and becomes a collaborative wiki.
