The use of military assets in relief operations

In many disaster and health crisis contexts, states regularly mobilize the Armed Forces because of their logistical and operational capacities. This has led, in the process of developing disaster law and in particular the Oslo Guidelines, to a series of normative efforts at the level of the armed forces. The case studies (Haiti, Nepal, Ebola) carried out at the request of DG ECHO, and the synthesis of the comparative study show how this works.
