Expertise France

Context

Expertise France’s activities have increased sharply since its creation in 2015, driven in particular by a stronger partnership with the European Union and the agency’s integration into the AFD Group. By 2023, the agency was implementing around 350 projects in 147 countries and 27 territories.

Since 2020, Expertise France has adopted a Monitoring and Evaluation policy, and the current challenge lies in deploying the ‘Learning’ component of this policy. The agency is seeking to encourage greater reflection on its practices and know-how in order to continually improve the quality of its interventions and aims to carry out capitalisation exercises on 50% of the projects it implements.

Capitalisation Sheets

The aim of these capitalisation sheets is therefore to strengthen learning capacity by documenting lessons learned and good practice from projects, thereby supporting the continuous improvement of Expertise France’s interventions.

The production of these sheets will be preceded by a data collection phase in order to gather information relevant to their production.

These sheets will cover the following themes:

  • Governance
  • Sustainable and inclusive economy
  • Human capital and social development
  • Health
  • Peace, stability and security
  • Sustainable development
