Government of Djibouti

With its difficult natural environment and the geopolitical complexity of its region, Djibouti has decided to actively take part in the preparations for the UN Food Systems Summit. An inter-ministerial approach has been adopted, involving food sector stakeholders, researchers, the private sector, civil society organisations, and with the support of the UN, notably the three specialist agencies based in Rome (WFP, FAO and IFAD). This is the price of achieving SDG 2 : Zero Hunger.

The project will involve :

  1. writing a document on food systems for the Pre-Summit;
  2. following the Pre-Summit and writing a Briefing Note on the main issues of interest for the Government of Djibouti;
  3. facilitating exchange and dialogue in Djibouti in preparation for the summit.
