Report of the post-earthquake evaluation in Turkey for Caritas Luxembourg, 2023

ASAM is a well established Turkish NGO working since 1995 in fields of migration and refugee protection. It developed a strong capacity to intervene in disaster with a team of staff trained for search and rescue and certified by the national disaster management agency AFAD. AFAD is supported by different donors ang which the CARITAS family, in particular CARITAS Luxembourg, CARITAS Austria and CARITAS Germany. This report examines its response to the 2023 earthquake and proposes a series of recommendations.
