It is also a key moment for France to exercise its accountability in relation to its commitments. In this context, the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs commissioned Groupe URD to carry out the mid-term review of France’s Humanitarian Strategy.
In addition to this review, Groupe URD mobilized in preparation for this meeting with all the actors concerned (NGOs, Red Cross, MEAE, AFD, etc.) around 3 major themes which will be addressed during the CNH:
- the humanitarian-development-peace nexus;
- taking into account climate and environmental issues in humanitarian aid, notably with the Statement of Commitment on Climate by Humanitarian Organisations;
- and the role of local actors, particularly in the current context of the COVID crisis.
